Have They Risen?

Known as the Easter Flower, Wind Flower, Prairie Crocus, or Meadow Anemone, the Pasque Flower is one of the very first to bloom in the Bighorns, and tends to stick around into early June!

This lovely little flowering plant was used by settlers and Native Americans as a treatment for a variety of ailments and conditions. The leaves and roots are mostly used medicinally in tea or crushed into a poultice for rheumatism, sooth headaches or combat lung disorders.

It's Easter, and we're on the lookout for this little flower to appear!

Happy Spring!
